Finishing her late husband’s novel turned into a family affair. Can a committee create fiction? They had the passion and four months to find out. Join me for a sweet visit with author, Janet Bly.

Janet has been a free-lance writer since 1976 and has authored and co-authored thirty-one nonfiction and fiction books with husband Stephen. When Stephen lost his almost five year battle with prostate cancer, he left behind a manuscript with “7,000 words, a one-page synopsis, some penciled general notes and a list of character names.” Determined to finish what her husband started, Janet and their three sons set out to complete Stephen’s final novel — his 106th book.

Janet shares her writing journey with her sons and how God is helping her cope daily with the “strange, unfamiliar state of being a widow. Steve was my partner for 48 years since I was 18 years old. Now I’m depending on God to fill those lonely, empty places with His presence and steady guidance to keep me persevering and sane. I have the 23rd Psalm on a cross hanging on my bathroom wall and I recite it every day. That has helped to sustain me.”
